BIOVIC Sdn Bhd is an indigenous, high tech biomedical company focused on evaluating and meeting the product needs of patients in Asia and other developing medical communities, using state-of the art systems and technologies BIOVIC is researching, developing, prototyping, and manufacturing high-grade and low-cost medical products targeted initially at the S.E. Asian patient population and market.
Disease states that will be targeted include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney failure, and hernia. Products for various surgical specialties will also be targeted. Modern synthetic biomaterials as well as tissue based products will be researched, patented, developed and manufactured for local and export markets.
The plan for BIOVIC is in three phases:
Phase A: Production. The planning, development and set-up of an ISO 13485 certified facility for the manufacture of medical devices (now complete.) This also involves the development of a QSR and ISO compliant Quality system that will be the platform for future CE (European Community) marking activity.
Phase B: Differentiation. Differentiate products already available, adding features that will enhance their handling, use, and performance while maintaining cost effectiveness. In this phase, BIOVIC will perform the market and clinical research to determine how products intended primarily for the Asian patient population should be tailored and customized to better meet the needs of both patient and physician.
Phase C: Innovation. Invent, patent, research, develop and commercialize innovative medical products not available anywhere else in the world. With its own Intellectual Property and ability to develop new and innovative cutting edge technologies, BIOVIC will explore and exploit a market that is underserved with respect to availability, price competitiveness, and technological advancement.
