Biovic Sdn Bhd (Biovic) was set-up to be an indigenous, high tech biomedical company focused on evaluating and meeting the product needs of patients in Asia and other developing medical communities. Using state-of the art systems and technologies, Biovic will develop, prototype, and manufacture high-grade and low-cost products targeted initially at the S.E. Asian patient population and market. Disease states that will be targeted include cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, and hernia. Products for various surgical specialties will also be targeted. Modern synthetic biomaterials as well as tissue based products will be researched, patented, developed and manufactured for local and export markets.

The plan for Biovic is in three Phases:
(1) Manufacture
(2) Differentiation
(3) Innovation.

With its own Intellectual Property, Biovic will explore and exploit a market that is underserved with respect to availability, price competitiveness, and technology. The potential for new, Malaysian generated Intellectual Property is very promising; as is collaboration with local research groups such as SIRIM Bhd and University Malaysia. Foreign research collaborations will also be investigated.

With it's recently obtained BioNexus status, Biovic is moving forward and is developing an infrastructure and systems that will meet ISO standards and eventual ISO certification. Biovic plans to obtain CE marking and/or FDA approval for all of its products.
